Project Manager Total Quality Management and New Product Introductions

For our TQM department of the Offset division we are looking for  an ambitious starter to support our project management and quality follow up team.

As a aspiring Project Manager you are intensively working together with various departments and disciplines.  You have a crucial role in contacts with Application, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

Managing TQM projects and activities requires a solid technical understanding of the concepts, the working principles and the product application. It also requires a wide scope of interest in chemistry, physics and engineering.

Starting as an Assistant Project Manager you will support the Project Managers.  The target is that you grow towards an independent Project Manager role in a pre-defined time frame (of about 2 years), depending on your experience and learning curve.



  • You will execute or take part in projects for the introduction of new product concepts in our main manufacturing site in Wiesbaden (Germany). You will be responsible for the qualification of the raw materials, the set-up of the production parameters and their specifications, the steering of the scaling up process, the Quality Control procedures definition.
  • You will execute projects or take part in projects for transferring products from Wiesbaden to our production lines worldwide.  
  • You will execute projects for operational improvements, process parameter changes or raw material changes, following a secured “managing of change” project governance
  • You are accountable for production quality output; yield and product performance at customers, until projects closure.
  • You will support the manufacturing management in solving operational problems that might occur by performing a structured root cause analysis and by developing concepts to solve the problem.
  • You will investigate customer complaints and translate the findings of the root cause analysis into solutions in the production line.
  • You will monitor the operational performance of production for specific products or a product family with respect to product and time losses.


Job requirements

  • You have a master degree, preferably with specialization in Chemistry or Material Engineering.  
  • You are an ambitious starter who wants to start his career as a link between production and R&D with high interest in Quality
  • You are willing to learn in depth how to lead projects. You will learn everything there is to know about  project management and/or quality steering. You will be going through an extensive education and training period, supported by colleagues of the TQM department.
  • Knowledge and/or interest in data management is an added value.
  • You are an outspoken team player with good communication skills. You enjoy working in multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • You have a wide scope of interest in chemistry, physics and engineering.
  • You are structured and organized.
  • You are strong in problem analysis.
  • You have an active and fluent knowledge of both spoken and written English.
  • You are prepared to travel.  You are prepared to stay on the project location for limited time period if the project requires it.
