DR Consultant / Applications / Sales Specialist

Agfa Radiology Solutions is looking for Digital Radiography Sales/Support/Applications Specialist to join its team.

 

The position will be responsible for a defined geographic area. This position will be based out of Ontario or Quebec, Canada.

 

The incumbent will assist in maintaining and growing Agfa’s portfolio of Digital Radiography (DR) Solutions and other products to existing clients, hospitals and health systems in a specific geography. The position will be responsible for supporting achievement of the budgeted sales plan for digital imaging sales in the territory.

 

As the Applications / DR Specialist - The primary responsibility is to be the product matter expert to articulate the value of Agfa’s DR solutions to end-user prospects, provide for product demonstrations and site visits and to provide clinical applications on installed solutions.  The position will travel to customer sites to deliver product presentations and clinical training to customers and prospective customers in support of the Account Executive team.

 

Responsibilities, but not limit to the following:

  • Achieve established sales quota in assigned territory through effective promotion of Digital Imaging portfolio.
  • Use the resources within the digital imaging group and outside manufacturer representatives to drive the business in the assigned geographic area.
  • Work with the sales representatives in the territory to develop new account opportunities for digital imaging products.
  • Work with the service organization to ensure customer satisfaction with our digital imaging accounts.
  • Collaborating with the field sales support teams to sell solutions through on site meetings, presentations and virtual meetings
  • Maintaining knowledge of the industry trends and competition and sharing that information internally with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure customer satisfaction as well as customer credibility and confidence in Agfa by developing strategies and tactics in support of the Canadian market to include broad communication, documentation, setting customer expectations, support team leadership, relationship management, and technology refresh,
  • Deploying the products, basic configurations and training to customers.
  • Attend Internal Agfa training sessions, WebEx, ELearning and/or external training sessions and OJT to keep abreast of new technology and teaching methodologies as recommended by Manager.
  • Provide on-site application support for new product controlled delivery sites, field tests or installations. This could also include phone or email support for application related issues.
  • Completion of expense reports, trip reports and associated documentation, etc.
  • Host site visits and provide on-site demonstration support to Agfa sales personnel
  • Set clear customer expectations and manage clear communications both internally and with the customer to ensure seamless implementation
  • Manage expenses to budget and operate at a standard of excellence in regards to teamwork, safety, ethics, diversity, Agfa’s Quality System, business processes and the Agfa Code of Conduct
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of time and to customer sites, sales meetings and tradeshows or as required by business conditions
  • Willingness to submit to and pass a drug test and educational, employment and criminal background checks

 

Education:

  • Direct sales and/or support experience selling DR solutions and/or medical imaging to hospitals, academic medical centers and large health systems

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a complex selling environment, where multiple people and/or committees are involved in the purchasing decision
  • Minimum five (5) years of training experience working with CR/DR and x-ray equipment.  Agfa experience a plus.
  • Experience as a technical/applications trainer
  • Experience with Radiology department workflow
  • Experience with the planning, developing businesses cases and administration of complex medical solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with diverse stakeholders, including selling top management on DR technology and capital projects and working with all other hospital clinical functions in the decision making process
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and proactive business style.
  • Competitive imaging product experience/knowledge 
  • Self-starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers at all levels
  • Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration
  • Solid process orientation and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

 

Specific skills:

  • Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 protocols and interactions
  • Thorough understanding of radiology clinical applications
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver end-user training presentations in the classroom, virtual and web-based training methodologies
  • Excellent organizational skills & self-discipline to work with limited supervision
  • Strong team building skills
  • Excellent training and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Superior customer advocacy/satisfaction skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - bilingual (English/French)
