About the Role

Agfa is seeking a Configuration Manager to join its Global ICS (Information & Communication Systems) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of configuration and asset information across Agfa's global IT environment. You will own the Configuration Management process and ensure that the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) accurately reflects the current state of IT services, infrastructure, applications, and assets throughout their lifecycle.

As a key member of the IT Service Management organization, you will support critical IT processes including Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, and Risk Management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, business units, service providers, and technology partners to ensure reliable data, effective governance, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do (Duties & Responsibilities)

  • Own and continuously improve the Configuration Management process.
  • Ensure Configuration Item (CI) records remain accurate, complete, and up to date throughout their lifecycle.
  • Manage, maintain, and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), including data structures, standards, and governance controls.
  • Support Change Management by ensuring configuration data is available, accurate, and aligned with approved changes.
  • Conduct configuration audits and verification activities to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
  • Monitor and improve data integrity and quality across configuration and asset records.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, business units, vendors, and service providers to maintain accurate configuration information.
  • Validate and reconcile managed Configuration Items with Agfa business units.
  • Ensure timely tracking and return of leased devices to leasing companies.
  • Produce governance reports, metrics, and compliance reporting related to configuration and asset management.
  • Manage configuration-related escalations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Act as backup for the Change Manager when required.

 

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Configuration Management, Asset Management, IT Service Management, or IT Operations.
  • Strong understanding of Configuration Management principles, CMDB governance, and IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with CMDB platforms and asset management solutions.
  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management processes, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management.
  • Experience working in outsourced IT environments and collaborating with external service providers.
  • Strong reporting, data governance, and process management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or comparable IT Service Management certification is considered an asset.
