Business Development Packaging Printing

In order to further ensure business growth, and specific generate new business for water based inkjet inks in the field of packaging (with focus on corrugated), we are looking for a Packaging Manager - Corrugated




This attractive and challenging function combines defining the products (including defining the target applications, the target customers and translation into ink performance needs), with delivering inkjet ink solutions (by working with the OEMs of inkjet print systems and the packaging producers to result into performing ink products and developing OEM ink business in this field).     

As an expert of packaging and packaging printing (preferably familiar with both analog and digital printing), you build a strong network within the packaging industry, especially corrugated packaging. As a highly motivated and charismatic person with a strong development & cooperative-attitude, you manage your portfolio based on a combination of technology and personal skills.


To fulfil this mission, you will be responsible for:


  • Defining the applications and processes relevant for printing
  • Defining the ink specification needs in relation to the applications
  • Working with the OEMs of print systems to evaluate ink prototypes for printing and for performance in the application, including working with packaging producers
  • Connecting to the companies involved in packaging printing, including the corrugators and the brand owners
  • Represent Agfa at trade shows, conferences, social networks to promote Agfa inks
  • String team work with OEM ink business team to reach business and sales targets
  • Accurate reporting and planning



  • You have a Master degree (preferably in industrial engineering) or equal by experience.
  • You have build-up technical expertise in the packaging and corrugated industry, preferably also in printing (analog and digital), with knowledge of the production processes, specifications and market players
  • You have build-up a wide personal network in the packaging industry, knowledge of inkjet printing and inkjet inks is a plus
  • You are skilled in working with partners to result in solution which fits the technology and the market requirements
  • You are a team player, inspiring and cooperative with respect to members of an interdisciplinary team, co-workers, business partners and customers,
  • You are result driven and customer oriented with good analytical skills (collecting and analyzing technical results)
  • You have good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
  • You use social media to stay connected and up-to-date.
  • You are fluent in English (speaking, writing, e-mails), basic knowledge (speaking) of French, other languages are a plus
  • You are willing to travel (> 30%) to develop business around the globe

Agfa is quickly expanding its assortment for the fast-growing market of industrial inkjet printing with the development of inkjet solutions for specific applications (flooring, leather printing), as well as being a technology leading OEM ink supplier for a growing range of applications.

The Industrial Inkjet Inks department‘s business (OEM inks) has been growing significantly over the past seven years, and extending its range of inks from Sign & Display to industrial applications, such as flooring, interior decoration, direct to shape printing etc.

The next wave for OEM inks is situated in the field of inks for digital print for packaging. Number 1 target is inkjet printing with water based inks on corrugated packaging. But water based inks for all types of packaging applications are being investigated.
