For FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Digital Print and Chemicals (DPC), we are looking for a Financial Business analyst

 

The Digital Print & Chemicals division serves a great variety of industries. Building on Agfa’s expertise in chemistry and its deep knowledge of the graphic arts industry, the division has a leading position in inkjet printing. Agfa supplies sign & display printing companies with a range of highly productive and versatile wide-format inkjet printers with matched inks, powered by dedicated workflow software. In addition, it develops high-performance inkjet inks & fluids for industrial inkjet applications, enabling manufacturers to integrate print into their existing production processes. It also offers dedicated inkjets inks to specific hi-tech industries such as the printed electronics industry. Furthermore, the division supplies membranes to the hydrogen production industry (ZIRFON), as well as a range of printable synthetic papers. The product assortment is completed by films for micrography, non-destructive testing, aerial photography, and printed circuit board production.

 

As a Financial Business analyst, you will work closely together with the different global BU controllers and the global division controller and also directly with the business and other stakeholders. You contribute to understanding the financials to drive the division's growth, top- and bottom-line.

By performing in-depth analysis and translating your findings to our stakeholders, you will add value to our division by delivering clear insights to all different levels of the organization, with the main goal of making the business more profitable. 

You will further build on your excellent financial analytical skills towards more tactical and strategic finance business management.

 

Tasks:

  • Perform ad hoc in-depth analysis related to business topics, supporting decision making for future business potential
  • Ensure business reports for monthly, quarterly, and yearly performance are delivered
  • Create dashboards (PowerBi) based on your analyses
  • Drive corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Assist in the quarterly financial forecasting process
  • Together with the BU controllers and the division controller, contribute to the creation of the budget and the strategic 5-year business plan, where you will use your analytical skills to help shaping the company's future
  • Co-own together with the central Plan & Control team the entire yearly budget planning process, including master data, uploads, reporting, cost center budget, etc.

What are we looking for?

  • You have a master’s degree in finance
  • You have 2 to 3 years of experience in a finance business environment
  • You have at least a first experience in data management, Excel, financial modelling and linking the numbers with information gathered out of discussions with colleagues
  • You are willing to go the extra mile, to be prepared for the future
  • You are fluent in English
  • You are eager to learn, and you are open-minded and resilient
  • You are result driven and service minded
