The Agfa-Gevaert Group consists out of the business divisions Offset Solutions, Digital Print & Chemicals, Radiology Solutions and HealthCare IT. The headquarter is located in Mortsel, Belgium and hosts amongst others the Corporate Center. This Center includes Corporate Finance, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, Corporate Legal, Corporate Safety, Health & Environment, Internal Audit en Corporate Controlling & Accounting.

 

The Corporate Tax department is included in the broader Corporate Finance department and is responsible for the worldwide tax strategy, tax risk management, and the transfer pricing policy. 

Within the Corporate Tax department, we are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager in order to support and advise the divisions and business groups. 

You will be reporting to the Head of Tax. 

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

Tax Planning

  • Supporting corporate restructuring & acquisition structuring (design, analyze and review transaction structures) and participate in the subsequent business integration to achieve optimal result.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Head of Tax (rulings, R&D incentives, optimizations)

Compliance & reporting (internal / external)

  • End responsibility for the internal quarterly tax reporting and income tax compliance of all Belgian companies 
  • Take the lead in and manage tax and transfer pricing audit enquiries 
  • Develop controls to ensure early identification of potential exposures and opportunities

Business support

  • Tax technical & transactional advice/support in an international context

 

Profile

  • Master in Law, Economics, Finance or Accounting or similar through experience
  • 5-8 years experience in a Big Four firm or MNC
  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian and international corporate tax and transfer pricing
  • Knowledge of IFRS (Deferred taxes)
  • Strong numeracy and IT literacy skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and project management skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are essential with a proactive approach and a history of achieving desired results
  • Strong ability to cooperate with different levels of people inside/outside the company
  • Proactive, not afraid to take initiative, demonstrates ownership, ability to complete tasks, respects deadlines
  • Highly flexible with an appetite to take on a variety of activities
  • Superior analytical and decision-making skills, critical mindset
  • Fluent in English
