Agfa Graphics is looking for a Crating / Material Handler to join our Mississauga team. You will be responsible for package and crate outgoing inkjet printer equipment. Load, ship and secure outgoing inkjet equipment on flatbed truck trailers and shipping sea containers.
This position performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, inspecting, storing, delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. Maintains the CWPCA wood treatment logs for incoming and outgoing wood packaging products.
Compensation:
- $25.00 per hour.
- 6 month contract
Location:

What You'll Do:
- Understand and follow all Health and Safety procedures.
- Report production work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Packaging and wood crating of all Inkjet equipment type.
- Load and secure printer shipments for shipping on flatbed truck trailers and shipping sea containers.
- Load, unload and move products and materials with manual material handling equipment and powered material handling equipment.
- Completes fork lift inspections daily, reports inefficiencies with any forklift equipment inspected.
- Maintains CWPCA wood packaging log of incoming and outgoing wood packaging.
- Breakdown and loading of wood material packaging materials.
- Perform warehouse functions such as uncarting incoming equipment and material, organizing/cleaning warehouse, cleaning as directed by production supervisor/Logistics Supervisor.
- Pick and package parts for service orders as directed by Logistics supervisor
- Capable of working at an accelerated pace and in a physical demanding environment.
- Maintain equipment and work area and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 6s.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Forklift certification required.
- Maintain and organize shipping inventory.
- Conduct multiple inspections and quality functions specific to product packaging and crating following Quality SOP and Functional SOP.
- Ensure all materials required to fill printer orders are packaged, secured and shipped fulfilling the complete sales order accurately.
- Ensure all shipping documents are completed and accurate.
- Ensure all shipping labels are affixed to shipments and they are accurate.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to safely and effectively handle over-sized product.
- Be accident and incident free when using material handling equipment.
- Secure shipments in shipping sea containers using only approved and accepted dunnage.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and as a member of a team as required.
- Multi-tasker who can adapt as priorities change Attention to detail Strong sense of urgency.
- Must have good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet productivity and quality standards.
- Ability to follow direction and learn in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to pre-crate inkjet equipment.
- Operates overhead crane equipment as required, effectively, safely, and efficiently.
- Assists with Inventory Control cycle counting when required.
