Contract Sales Representative

A Contract Sales Representative is responsible for driving the SMA sales business reporting to the Service Contract Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing sales/service selling strategies, contributing to Request for Proposal (RFP) service proposal generation, driving inventory processes to ensure inventory accuracy to address revenue leakage.


This position is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the U.S. 


Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Work with customers, zone sales management, service management, field service and contract administrators to achieve specific zone assigned service agreement sales targets by interfacing with the field sales and service forces to optimize sales opportunities.   
  • Achieve defined sales Quota objective for new and renewal contracts.
  • Reporting - Supports management, project managers and resources in maximizing the use of EPM through reporting on the system
  • Manage standards for Service Maintenance terms and conditions to ensure that the customer expectation and the business needs are met. 
  • Act as a pre-sales consultant for the Sales and Service organizations in the creation, proposing, and presenting of service based contract proposals to customers.
  • Prepare the service contract pricing portion(s) of a Request for a Proposal (RFP) for Agfa product offerings
  • Work closely with the Legal team to ensure that contract negotiations align with Agfa’s business objectives
  • Provide quality control for SMAs for Key Accounts, to include review of inventory (software and hardware) with the help of contract administrators, analysis of revenue mix, assess the cost of 3rd party contracts, review the discount levels and propose recommended services.
  • Record all contract proposal targets, forecast probabilities, stage of the sales cycle and conversations with customers, engineers and managers in the CRM system weekly for review with management.
  • Develop and implement customer correspondence related to service contract proposals and special programs.
  • Work closely with the contract administrators to provide knowledge transfer on Agfa products, underlining technically and business strategies.
  • Manage customer base to ensure customer satisfaction including attendance of customer QBR meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure all required administrative tasks associated with processing and quoting contracts through use of ASSM, SAP and CRM tool are correct and have met customer approval and understanding



  • Degree: BS/BA or a minimum of 5 plus years with experience with selling service maintenance agreements.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, (face-to-face, email and telephone skills).
  • Flexible, results driven and take charge person with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Highly effective negotiation skills that ensures mutually beneficial contract outcomes
  • Expert understanding and extensive practical experience in SAP service contract module and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of CRM systems.
  • Expert understanding of creation of service agreements.
  • Overall administrative experience to include quote preparation and financial justification of such.
  • Conversational knowledge and general understanding of the Agfa Radiology equipment and service product offerings.
