GFS Finance Manager Central & Southeast Europe

 

 

The GFS Finance Manager is the proactive, supporting and critical GFS expert for all entities located in the geography (country/region) he/she is responsible for.  The GFS Manager is the point of contact for all GFS related items for the local management but also for the consolidation team of AGFA and the FP&A team of the division to which the entity belongs.  As GFS Finance Manager you have a holistic view on the organization and the processes and you act as liaison officer between the operational accounting teams (partner, Middle Office and local).  The GFS Finance Manager ensures the correct presentation of the numbers in order to be used as a perfect basis for both internal and external reporting.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Understand financial KPI’s (profitability, Opex, Capex, working capital, cash flow,…)
  • Understand financial aspects of an international environment, sometimes combined with a manufacturing organization
  • Being able to see trends in numbers and show the ability to analyse them
  • Responsible for the monthly closing process respecting the group accounting principles and in line with IFRS and local GAAP
  • Good understanding of all numbers in an IFRS constellation
  • Being able to reconcile transactional data and management reporting
  • Identify potential risks and propose solutions
  • Analyse balance sheet and result accounts with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Inform management on trends
  • Point of contact for local tax authorities
  • Prepare and file local annual accounts
  • Prepare and file local tax declarations (corporate and others)
  • Point of contact for internal and external audit
  • GFS representative in ad hoc projects
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines and legislation
  • Direct and indirect management of a team of people within the country or abroad
  • Close cooperation with service teams, stakeholders, management, audit teams, finance partners, middle office
  • Coordinate the administration in case shared service functions are locally not represented (purchasing, HR,…).

 

 

Profile :

  • Master degree in finance and economics or equivalent through experience and 5-7 relevant experience in an international environment
  • Experience in working in a complex matrix organisation
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and writing
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Visual Basic) and SAP (transactional and Business Warehouse)
  • Solid knowledge of systems and processes of the organisation
  • Ability to develop and implement new procedures or to adapt existing procedures to meet the specialised needs
  • Take end-to-end ownership within domain and also take indirect leadership
  • Be accountable
