This job realizes a successful product portfolio in the field of IJ inks for the PCB industry and in the field of printed electronics. Based on Agfa’s core competences and on a detailed market/business analysis, (new) products are defined, (field)-tested and launched. Area of focus is Asia. Close interaction with general product manager, application, sales, R&D and production are necessary.

Agfa Digital Print & Chemicals(DPC) is a market leader in photo-tooling films for the printed circuit board (PCB) industry. As the PCB industry is switching from an analogue film to a digital imaging workflow such as Laser direct imaging (LDI), projection imaging (PI) and inkjet printing. Agfa DPC has introduced the Dipamat series inks which offer customer complete inkjet solution for etching, solder-mask as well as legend. 

The ORGACON product line (film, inks, and formulations) is based on the organic conducting polymer PEDOT/PSS. Large growth potential is expected for the direct printing of transparent electrodes in the automotive, display and electronics industry. In addition, AGFA’s nano-silver, a new developed product in the ORGACON family, is wildly testing in the print electronics industry.

  • The product manager (PM) shall not only have in-depth understanding about related product, but insight for the target market. Therefore, the PM could achieve the first-phase of the business development and transfer the potential opportunity into real sales.
  • The PM analyzes (technical and market-wise) the above described markets and drafts the product business plan.  The PM is responsible for identifying and centralizing of regional market information and trends, requirements for local infrastructure, monitoring competition, and quality surveys.
  • The PM supports the product life-cycle management (product definition as input for R&D, product introduction, field testing and launch) and is member of the PLT meetings.
  • The PM identifies and supports strategic partnerships with printer producers, key customers, distributors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • The PM supports the sales with efforts in product benchmarking, positioning, registration, and technical & commercial promotions (tradeshows, symposiums, online media), etc.
  • The PM acts as a bi-directional interface between the local organizations/ partners/ customers and the Agfa DPC HQ organization (R&D, Sales, Application, production, and logistics).
