Manager Technical Implementation Team

Manager Technical Implementation Team will be responsible for leading the Technical resources that are the IT experts for our Implementation Projects to deliver Agfa’s software solutions to clients. This candidate must also be highly technical with 5+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Networking, Software Implementation and a minimum of 5 years of Agile Project Management experience, preferable software or mixed software/ hardware environment.

 

This candidate must also have proven successful leadership experience. They will lead the Technical Team, a dynamic team of highly technical, experienced, subject matter experts responsible for executing the technical aspects of the Agfa software solution. This leader must have experience negotiating with C-suite in order to align project expectations. This leader will manage the team and other required cross-functional resources to focus on completing objectives, completing projects, enabling customer success, and obtaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

 

Main Responsibilities are:

 

  • Lead client implementation technical delivery team by providing management and oversight of implementation projects to insure proper staffing to assigned projects. Set standards to meet or achieve utilization, capacity, and project profitability goals.
  • Direct the technical teams in continual improvement in process & efficiencies; define best practices and guidelines; provide leadership with regular project updates; serves as a critical advisor; set the direction for the technical services teams; define the product implementation technical standards; drive customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as technical escalation point for customer projects and technical teams.
  • Set strategic direction to achieve and/or exceed goals in capacity, utilization, and realization rates for technical teams. Regularly report on team metrics highlighting key metrics on budget, utilization and forecast.
  • Lead the technical teams to ensure team maintains control on project schedules, budgets, and risks. Proactively engage with teams to insure timely reporting, compliance to project schedule, and compliance to budge.
  • Identify project risks early and mitigate risk by providing prudent and timely recommendations for alternative courses of actions; communicate effectively with clients regarding project risks, set and manage client expectations on risk; create and execute project work plans; manage change controls.
  • Manage team performance in accordance to company standards. Define performance plans; conduct reviews/evaluations; coach and guide team in personal career development; recommends performance ratings; seek to improve team performance and skills; participates in the hiring process, manage individual performance; define performance improvement plans when and if needed

 
Education:

 

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 10 years of experience demonstrating management and leadership experience, preferably in a software or healthcare IT enterprise software professional services environment; Strong operational management, project management, consulting, technology and process improvement skills
     

Required skills:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Networking, Software Implementation
  • 5+ years of Agile Project Management experience, preferable software or mixed software/ hardware environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years healthcare and/or healthcare IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT/ Technical teams that implement large complex enterprise IT solutions
  • Demonstrated history in a role that includes dealing with hospital C-suite and physicians, i.e. Sales, Hospital Administration, or leadership role at a healthcare IT vendor
  • Forecasting one-time software, hardware or software revenue
  • Relationship management and customer management expertise
