Clinical Applications Specialist (PACS / RIS)

Agfa HealthCare is looking for a talented Clinical Applications Specialist to join our IT project delivery team. The Applications Specialist is a high-level informatics Application Specialist with experience in workflow analysis and configuration of PACS, RIS and Speech Recognition with experience in 3rd party applications. Along with this, the Application Specialist delivers clinical application training and project go-live support.
This position is field-based throughout the UK, Ireland and the Nordics
Home office + clients in UK Ireland and the Nordics
Travel is required (for example: in a 6 month project, we would expect you to be onside for 10 weeks in total - dispersed throughout the project)
During the training period, extra travel, including weekends, may be required
Responsibilities:
- Work in a team to deliver a project
- Work at the customer site to conduct workflow analysis
- Configuration of applications on and off-site
- Deliver training to the PACS / RIS administrators, Radiographers, Clinicians, Radiologists and support personnel both on and off-site
- Complete all documentation
Skills:
- Broad expertise in PACS / RIS radiology workflow
- Excellent knowledge of workflow within a radiology environment
- Awareness on DICOM and HL7 standards and interactions
- Strong ability to develop and deliver end-user training in a classroom, on site and virtual web-based training methodologies
- Excellent planning skills and self-discipline to work with limited supervision
- Strong team working and communication skills
- Excellent training and presentation abilities
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational proficiencies
- Superior customer advocacy/satisfaction skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education:
- Registered Diagnostic Radiographer is required
Experience:
- Experience as a PACS / RIS Administrator would be beneficial
- Minimum three years of training experience
- Agfa experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Technical aptitude mixed with a solid clinical hospital background
- Regular travel, some overtime work required at time
- Strong communication skills, troubleshooting skills and able to self-direct
