We are seeking an AI Enablement Leader to lead and accelerate the implementation & adoption of Artificial Intelligence within the Research & Development organization.
We are a software company whose R&D teams are rapidly adopting AI tooling to increase productivity. We need a hands-on AI Enablement Lead, embedded within R&D, to accelerate this adoption while keeping it safe and effective in our regulated environment.
You will be responsible for shaping the overall strategy and roadmap of our AI journey. You will champion the use of AI in the organization to increase productivity and quality. You will lead the implementation of new tools, processes, structures, and platforms on that roadmap. You will help foster an innovation mindset within the organization as it relates to AI. The role will involve collaboration with a variety of teams within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Define the tooling strategy and roadmap for the use of AI tooling within R&D. Evaluate, recommend, and help configure AI development tools.

Bridge engineering with best practices and compliance. Translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering guidance. Focus on how AI should (and shouldn’t) be utilized related to compliance and security.

Lead the implementation of chosen GenAI tools and platforms, including coaching users and teams on recommended tools and use cases. Ensure teams are adopting the tools and technologies effectively.

Measure outcomes. Define and track productivity and quality metrics to evaluate AI tool effectiveness. Use data to guide investment decisions.

Be a champion and advocate for the use of AI tools.

Stay current. Proactively review usage, productivity increases, and new opportunities/tooling to continually improve our usage and results.
Skills and Experience:
-
Experience driving adoption of new tools or practices across engineering teams. Proven results in change management and technical leadership.

Deep working knowledge of current GenAI tooling (code assistants, LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows) and practical experience applying them in software development contexts.

Experience engaging users and increasing their productivity via AI tooling. Ideally focused on use cases and users under the solution development life cycle.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with experiencing coaching and training users.

General technical acumen/understanding, with an ability to quickly absorb new concepts and technologies.

Overall knowledge of modern development practices and processes, for example CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and containerization.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.

Knowledge of general R&D Software Applications (user or administrator) is an asset. Systems such as SharePoint, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Teams, Jenkins, etc.

Previous experience working in a global company with cross-site collaboration across multiple time zones.
