The Team Lead for Advanced Customization and Integration Services directly reports to the Manager Global Professional Services. The Team Lead delivers the same activities as his team members, but he/she additionally leads a team geographically dispersed across North America and Europe, providing services to all Agfa HealthCare regions in delivering Professional Services to the regional customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the same Software Development activities as his team members.
  • Lead and manage a global team of 5+ highly technical Professional Services engineers, based in more than 4 different countries (USA, Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands) and different time zones, and delivering services to all regions (NA, LATAM, EMEA, Direct Export, DACH, ASPAC).
  • Supervise all global activities related to the design/development and delivery of Advanced Customization and Integration Services within the IITS business division. These services complement the Agfa solutions portfolio on topics ranging from healthcare solution integration to data migration by applying the latest software engineering technologies, standards and best practices.
  • Organize the team and processes in order to implement a true Global Service Delivery Model, i.e. the optimum combination of processes, end-to-end methodologies and quality procedures, with high-quality skills and resources, in requisite quantities, on a global basis, that enables Agfa to maximize the quality of their solutions while minimizing the overall cost and delivery time of their services.
  • Stimulate team members to collaborate on internal projects with other Global Professional Services teams (e.g. Data Migration teams).
  • Foster a tight collaboration between PS team members and R&D resources to contribute to product / solution enhancements and to standardization initiatives.
  • Innovate new service offerings and solutions, stimulate the design and development of new customer-centric value-added services depending on market evolutions and needs in the field of healthcare IT and medical imaging according to the best practices (ITIL, COBIT, SDLC) and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the frontline manager on projects, discuss technical and non-technical aspects of projects, identify the challenges and assess/mitigate the most critical risks, and ensure projects are delivered in a timely fashion in accordance with project requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, become “Trusted Advisor” to Agfa Regional Sales, Service & Customer.
  • Support the pre-sales and RFP-related activities in relation to Advanced Customization and Integration Services, support national and regional healthcare IT projects from pre-sales to services delivery, with a strong focus on the existing healthcare standards (HL7, DICOM) and on interoperability initiatives (FHIR, IHE).



  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree desired in ICT, electronics, software engineering (or other similar technical degrees) or alternatively are equally skilled through experience.



  • A highly credible, experienced leader with a proven track record in IT, software and professional services.
  • 5-10 years of experience as professional services team lead, preferably in a medical environment.
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT project management or healthcare project management.
  • 5-10 years of experience in software development, software architecture (n-tier solutions), database management, networking, storage solutions, operating systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer facing roles. Experience in structuring offerings to meet customer business objectives in a cost effective way that achieves margin objectives and maximizes revenue.
  • Experience with HL7/DICOM standards, FHIR, IHE initiative, security and privacy regulations & requirements, US FDA/quality regulations & requirements.

  • Presentation preparation and delivery skills to a diverse audience from C-suite to end users
  • Knowledge of current IT and Healthcare technologies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project Management and Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of other languages (Dutch, French or German) is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and passionate
  • Able and willing to travel occasionally (i.e. for specific occasions)
