Agfa Healthcare is looking for a solid Finance Controller to join its team in Brazil; This position will be based in Sao Paulo

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Be confident and comfortable to drive results, by challenging the fellow members of the senior management team in a constructive and proactive way, whilst simultaneously supporting them to realise business objectives.
  • Facilitating the understanding of the financials to a variety of audiences and ensure that required actions are taken to improve company results. Operate to a high level of detail within various financial systems, whilst have feeling for the figures and being able to summarise underlying issues – to drive the right actions.
  • Providing accurate management reports analysis and advice to management on Turnover, Gross Margin, Profitability and Cash flow evolution and advise on areas of financial risks and opportunities.Preparing monthly forecasting process and forecast inputs, working with and challenging stakeholders, to ensure a thoroughly reviewed and well-balanced forecast input.
  • Producing insightful and forward-looking reporting, including analysis and advice to management on overall Forecast, Order Intake, Order book and Sales Funnel evolution, allowing anticipation on cost measures or resource constraints.Analysis of projects with SAP PS, including profitability of these projects, raising awareness of low profitability / problem projects whilst pushing for remedial actions.
  • Ensuring that the required control environment is in place, supporting internal and external audits.
  • Working with the Accounting team to ensure financial reporting (both statutory and management reporting) is done in a timely manner and in line with both local statutory and group guidelines.
  • Taking the leading role in the annual budgeting process, acting as project manager to the process, ensuring all contributors and stakeholders are involved at the right time with the correct inputs. Ensure the budget is strongly challenged locally before presentation to HQ. Insightful analysis to support and defend the budget presentation.
  • With regards to Credit & Collections (C&C) ensuring proper implementation of the global C&C Policy and Governance to control risk. Act as an escalation point in case of disputes / collection issues with customers.
  • Statutory duties in line with the requirements of the local legal entities in Brazil.
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting.
  • Supporting / covering for other LATAM regions outside of Brazil.
  • Liaise with relevant colleagues in HQ to represent the Brazilian business as required.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or related areas

 

Requirements:     

       

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Financial Controller is required
  • Previous experience with SAP, SAP PS and SAP BI ideal
  • Advance Excel skills are mandatory
  • Experience working in a Software and Services environment will be an asset
  • Experience in the Healthcare IT arena is desired
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is desired
