This important leadership position reporting to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Growth, North America, is responsible for leading a dynamic hunting New Business team and growing new market share for Agfa HealthCare’s full portfolio of healthcare products in the United States. 


Job Duties & Accountabilities: 


  •  Develop, measure, and optimize a business plan and sales team to achieve annual and quarterly sales goals in the US market
  • Build and Direct the management of field sales staff, budget, forecasting, prospect, and account strategy along with a repeatable sales process that effectively scales across target market(s)
  • Achieve attainment of sales quota and business objectives for growth of new name account sales 
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline through partnership with Marketing and other relevant functional areas that reflects appropriate sales stage metrics and prospect migration in alignment with target market segments and annual sales plan
  • Drive adherence to company-defined sales process and cadence with operating mechanisms
  • Collaborate with colleagues across functional areas to create and present requests for information, requests for proposals, budgetary quotes and negotiate contracts
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and to assist in reference-based promotion of the company’s solutions and service
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote the company, solutions and generate sales leads
  • Demonstrate and continuously improve healthcare industry knowledge through participation in applicable healthcare industry associations, company provided training and industry education
  • Provide relevant feedback to assist the company’s product leadership with investments in research and development roadmap to improve competitive position and market share
  • Maintain corporate level relationships with established regional and national IDNs





  • Minimum: Bachelor’s in healthcare, science, marketing, business, or computer science/engineering or other related area.




  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IMAGING technology sales preferably in enterprise IT and/or digital diagnostic systems along with an understanding of the healthcare imaging market and competitive landscape. 
  • The candidate must have a proven track record in sales as a hunter profile and sales leadership in new business development
  • A proven track record with 10+ years successful enterprise Imaging healthcare information technology sales experience focused on capturing new business in the Healthcare IT Marketplace.


Specific Skills:


  • Demonstrated ability to lead a sales strategy internally and externally through complex organizations to achieve sales results
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and lead a new business sales team effectively
  • Ability to engage with and deliver the company’s value proposition to C-suite executives of healthcare systems
  • Experience using contemporary CRM system 
  • Miller Heiman Strategic and/or Solution Selling certification
  • Superior business acumen and proven business development experience
  • Strong negotiation skills, exceptional business demeanor and highly polished presentation skills to manage relationships from the executive to the working level
  • Excellent networking skills and able to develop and create large and profitable business opportunities
  • Ability to set strategy and execute tactics to deliver tangible results
  • Commitment to teamwork and ability to foster productive working relationships with internal and external groups
  • Flexibility to adapt to travel, client and internal teams as required by business conditions
