Clinical Support Manager - Medical Imaging

The Clinical Support Manager position delivers clinical/technical value to Agfa customers, as key to the business performance of Agfa Enterprise Imaging platform. It acts as the liaison between product development, global product management, global marketing, regional sales teams and the customers.


This position can be based in Waterloo, Canada or anywhere in Canada close to a major airport - 

Candidates based in the US, close to a major airport would also be considered




  • Act as consultant and manage a team that acts as consultants to clinical leaders and users, not only for traditional Radiology/Cardiology imaging, but other multi-specialty areas as well (Pathology, Dermatology, Wound care, Ophthalmology, Dental, other areas) as subject matter expert
  • Pro-active client engagement:  peer-to-peer interaction with Senior Medical Directors, Radiologists, and Physicians of organizations of business interest to Agfa
  • Strategic alliance development & support of “luminary”/FT sites
  • Partner with key accounts to innovate/co-development in order to promote and expand academic and research values and direction
  • Collect feature requests and customer needs to drive Product Management ensuring synergy across various components of the solution and leverage site clinical feedback towards Enterprise Imaging platform
  • Act as a liaison and manage a team that acts as liaisons between key customers and internal Agfa training support teams
  • Communicate with major clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries
  • Interactions with client physicians prior to and during the bid defense
  • Assist with the Pre-Sales and Post-Sales process
  • Focus on increasing customer confidence in Agfa and the Enterprise Imaging product such that they will be a positive reference (KLAS or customer)
  • Review general customer training, presentations, demonstrations or troubleshooting configurations for other existing or prospective sites
  • Focus clinical workflow and usability as a differentiator throughout the enterprise imaging solution
  • Validation of the requirements and early design GUI/interaction concepts with various clinical users from a sampling of representative sites
  • Map existing functionality for cohesive solution for some departmental workflows
  • Go to" persons for customers, marketing, documentation, development, service, verification and validation
  • Work with one or more assigned regional teams in support of go-to-market initiatives including responding to RFPs, supporting sales engagement, presenting to prospects and customers around our current value proposition along with vision.


Education and Experience:


  • Medical imaging / radiology clinical background is required
  • RIS, PACS, DICOM and HL7 experience is a must
  • Product management, clinical, quality, and regulatory affairs related expertise ideal 
  • 5-7 years experience in healthcare field either on the technology provider or the healthcare provider side
  • Previous marketing to healthcare providers experience, ideal
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed, culturally diverse, results driven team and enterprise
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results-based on commitments and priorities.
  • Experience overseeing the design and execution of at least one full imaging program from proof of concept through software release, ideal 
  • Direct experience with the creation and implementation of imaging software development including clinical and regulatory strategy development, ideal
  • This position requires flexibility to travel up to 75% between US and Canada; some international traveling outside NA would be required.
