We use our proven track record as an innovator, our in-depth medical knowledge and our strategic guidance to help healthcare providers achieve their clinical, operational and business strategies.

The Applications Consultant will work directly with customers during pre-sales, pre-deployment, and implementation to assess clinical processes and design solutions that will maximize the customer’s benefits from Agfa HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging solution. This person will provide Enterprise consultative services to coordinate project and integration activities with customers and third-party vendors, and draw on broad clinical and technical expertise in order to successfully integrate clinical systems with our solution offering.  In addition, the Applications Consultant may assist in clinical workflow validation and launch activities, as well as documentation and transfer of knowledge of the end solution.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Project Consultant – Work with project manager to develop engagement plans, work break-down structures, and testing plans.  Assist in the coordination of interface and integration activities of Agfa cross-functional teams, customer resources, and third-party vendors during the project life-cycle.
  • Workflow Analysis / Business Rules Development – Conduct detailed analysis of the customer’s existing clinical environment and design business and clinical workflows that will optimize patient care.  Develop Agfa solutions that will meet unique workflow requirements of each department, while creating a seamless presentation of clinically relevant information to the hospital enterprise.
  • Professional Services Development - Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify customer pain points and develop new services and solutions to improve customer adoption and clinical outcomes with our software.

  • The Applications Consultant will be responsible for managing activities across multi-specialty service lines in order to successfully implement our solutions.  The recommendations and decisions at the clinical level will have a direct impact on how these organizations do business, and how they deliver patient care.
  • The Applications Consultant will complete validation tasks related to product enhancements, functionality, and bug fixes to ensure the product is ready for launch.
  • The Applications Consultant will need to provide direction to others in order to drive project task completion and project decisions. Additionally, the Applications Consultant will be responsible for coordinating resources that may affect the current project as well as other concurrently running projects.
  • The candidate will work closely with internal and external resources to ensure the project is well documented, acceptance testing is completed, training is delivered, and knowledge transfer is accomplished.
  • The work of a Applications Consultant on a given project may span several months; the candidate will be involved with multiple projects at all times.  The candidate will have to self-manage their time and balance competing priorities from multiple customer-facing projects, self-directed work, and support related activities.

Major Opportunities & Challenges:
