As Group Financial Planning & Controlling Manager you report into the Head of FP&A and lead the central team of Financial Planning & Controlling.

Together with the Business Controlling teams, you define the set of operational & financial KPI’s the divisions and regions will be measured upon. You define and co-develop any adequate reporting needed to ensure duly follow-up.

Appropriate Dashboarding, both content- and presentationwise, will facilitate Management’s understanding of the financial status and evolution of the Group.

By applying “the next generation” tools (AI, …) you add extra knowledge and dimensions into the datasets that are used by the Business, resulting in “Next level Analytics”.

You drive the operational forecast-, budget-, and 5-yearplan processes. You ensure timely and qualitative delivery of the monthly and quarterly ‘Book of numbers’ to the CFO and Group Management.

In support of the Controlling leadership of the Divisions and Regions you own the operational centralization, uniformization and standardization of the overall FP&A processes and reporting, while respecting that certain needs might differ between the different divisions within the Group (e.g. project business vs more transactional business).

As our Group Financial Planning & Controlling Manager:

  • You define, together with the Business Controlling teams, the KPI’s that the business (Divisions, Regions, …) will be measured upon. This goes as well for financial as certain more operational (e.g. R&D, …) KPI’s that are directly linked to the profitability of the Group, as well as on its status and evolution of Working Capital, Capex, Cash Flow, etc....
  • You design the necessary reporting on these KPI’s, in all their relevant dimensions. Together with the central team of Financial Tools and Processes, you co-develop all related adequate reporting. Knowing that appropriate Dashboard-reporting helps Group Management in more efficiently understanding performances, you continuously define and implement the most transparent and efficient way of publishing results. You introduce and apply ‘next generation’ tools in order to increase dimensions and improve the knowledge of the business’ datasets.
  • You own the planning and the timely and qualitative delivery of all relevant financial forecast processes (monthly revenue, quarterly P&L/NWC/Capex) for the Group. You coordinate as such with Divisions, Regions and Group Support Functions.
  • You own the planning and the timely and qualitative delivery of the centrally driven budget process for the Group (revenue, P&L, NWC, Capex). You coordinate as such with all stakeholders, being mainly Divisions, Regions and Group Support Functions.
  • You own the planning and the timely and qualitative delivery of the centrally driven 5-yearplan process for the Group (revenue, P&L, NWC, Capex). You coordinate as such with all stakeholders, being mainly the Divisions.
  • You own the timely and qualitative delivery of the monthly/quarterly/… ‘Book of numbers’ to the CFO and Group Management. This ‘Book’ presents and explains via standard and consistent reporting on the relevant KPI’s the financial status and evolution of the Group and its Divisions/Regions.
  • You own the operational centralization, uniformization and standardization of the overall FP&A processes and reporting, while respecting that certain needs might differ between the different divisions within the Group (e.g. project business vs more transactional business). You optimize reporting, limiting ad-hoc reporting for the divisional, regional and centralized teams of Credit & Collections and Group Support Functions, which is to free up time for them to extend their analysis, both on existing and new business-financial KPI’s. On the further simplification and automatization of the processes and tools, you follow up with the team of Financial Processes and Tools. As Dashboarding in reporting will help teams and management to more efficiently and transparently understand the status and evolution of the business KPI’s, you will design and co-develop any relevant result-presentation.
  • You lead a small team of professionals that support you in ensuring compliance on all of the above.

What you bring to the table:

  • You have a master degree in (Applied) Economics or Commercial Engineer.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A.
  • You have a profound knowledge and interest in BI-Dashboarding- and “next generation”- tools and you are skilled to work with MS Office and SAP
  • You have experience in leading (small) teams.
  • You are passionate on driving financial reporting and dashboarding processes and you are continuously on the search for further simplification, automatization and industrialization as drivers for increased efficiencies.
  • You are driven, proactive and able to work independently.
  • You value result orientation and accountability, innovation and you have high standards on integrity.
  • You can quickly identify and analyze problems and you are creative and persistent in the presentation and implementation of solutions.
  • You are customer-focused, and you translate the needs of your stakeholders while safeguarding the balance between “ensuring fulfilment of your customers’ wishes” and “the resources at disposal”.
  • You have excellent communication- and reporting skills in English (speaking, writing, presenting).
  • You work autonomously but you are a teamplayer as well, enjoying to delegate.
  • You enjoy working continuously against due dates and deadlines, you are extremely stress resistant.
  • Your organizational skills are at champion-level.
