Technical Pre-Sales Consultant – Healthcare IT / Medical Imaging

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to join our ASPAC Regional Sales Team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting sales opportunities across both public and private sectors, ensuring the technical integrity and architectural alignment of proposed solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers, representing AGFA’s capabilities with credibility and insight.
- Provide expert product and solution knowledge to support the ASPAC Sales team and Business Managers.
- Engage with customers to identify technical needs, pain points, and workflows, and tailor solution architecture accordingly.
- Lead the preparation of technical and architectural content for tenders, RFPs, and commercial offers.
- Coordinate with AGFA’s Global Client Engagement team to ensure technical validation of proposed solutions and adherence to global standards.
- Deliver high-quality technical presentations and demonstrations that clearly communicate solution value.
- Design and document healthcare IT architectures, including PACS, RIS, VNA, and Enterprise Imaging solutions, aligned with customer requirements.
- Contribute to proposal development including solution design, architecture diagrams, deployment models, and technical schedules.
- Stay current with AGFA HealthCare’s product roadmap and market developments through active participation in global training and enablement programs.
- Support AGFA HealthCare's presence at industry events, trade shows, and customer reference site visits.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Biomedical, or related field), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consultancy within Healthcare IT preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel regionally as required, up to 30%.
- Current Australian driver’s license.
Technical Competencies
- In-depth understanding of medical imaging informatics (PACS, RIS, VNA, Enterprise Imaging platforms).
- Solid grasp of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud (public, private and hybrid).
- Familiarity with interoperability standards such as DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and IHE integration profiles.
- Experience with or certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements is a plus.
