Agfa HealthCare is looking for a talented RIS Deployment Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a RIS (Radiological Information System) Deployment Specialist you will install and configure IT platforms (including servers, storage, OS, Oracle databases and Agfa software) and upgrade legacy Agfa IMPAX RIS systems of existing customers to the platforms and software versions of the new generation IMPAX systems



As a RIS Deployment Specialist you are responsible for:


  • Leading, directing and ensuring the successful installation and implementation of new installs and upgrades of Impax RIS systems, including operating systems, oracle databases and Agfa applications.
  • Design and document a technically optimal installation or upgrade path
  • Assist the project manager with the detailed planning of the upgrade or installation
  • Ensure that projects are documented, and all processes are followed according to the Agfa standards
  • Provide adequate support in the post go-live phase
  • Technical deployment and support for interfacing / HL7 issues using Agfa applications and Rhapsody interface engine  
  • Engage other expert teams when needed


What you bring to the table


  • Graduate degree in Engineering, IT or Computer Science. Associate degree in IT industry
  • Knowledge of Hospital and Radiology workflow
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7 DICOM
  • Experience of installing Oracle / Win / Linux Servers into an IT DC 
  • Knowledge of supporting virtualized systems (VMware)
  • Knowledge of networking, hardware and programming
  • Advanced working knowledge of Databases such as Oracle 11G/12C and SQL. Certification is preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of Operating systems such as Windows, Solaris and Linux. Certification is preferred
  • Advanced and proven technical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.


Location: Home based + working at customers (NHS clients)
