Global Cloud Migration Developer

The Global Migration Developer will take on the development of tools to support multiple strategies for the migration of medical imaging data, including Cloud data migrations, by applying the latest software engineering technologies, standards, and best practices.

The Global Migration Developer will join a very dynamic and talented software development team and will work closely with the other Agfa HealthCare R&D teams to ensure that both our migration tools and the Agfa HealthCare IT solutions and platforms will evolve in a very collaborative way, with the expected quality, security and performance levels.

 

The Global Migration Developer will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Analyse functional requirements and propose relevant design changes to the Agfa tools, according to the priority ranking assigned to them, present the proposed changes to the team for design review and approval
  • Take ownership of the development and testing of the approved design changes
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues, and/or propose valid workarounds for issues encountered with the Agfa tools
  • Adhere to the design, documentation, development, quality assurance, security control and support processes of the Agfa tools
  • Work collaboratively with the Agfa R&D teams, discuss API requirements, and discover new migration requirements due to product changes/enhancements or tech innovations
  • Work very closely with global migration experts to reach success on pilot projects, when preparing a new release of the Agfa tools

 

What you bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Required experience programming in Java or other similar programming languages, SQL, and database technology (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiar with modern software development tools & solutions (Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, etc.) and web technologies (Angular, React, etc.).
  • Desired experience in healthcare industry & standards (DICOM, HL7, IHE) and/or in data migrations.
  • Desired knowledge of web standards, software design and software development best practices.
  • Desired knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud computing and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Swift).
  • Fluent in English, as this is the main language used by the team.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Quick learner, good team player and able to work autonomously.
