The Marketing and Communications Manager, reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, North America, is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the day to day operations of effective B2B demand generation campaigns across multiple inbound and outbound, virtual, and non-virtual channels for sales enablement that promote Agfa HealthCare and its products to our target markets.

Partner with Marketing and MarCom colleagues in both North America and Europe to develop a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy and plan to drive MQLs within an integrated campaign framework.


Main Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Plan, execute, measure and refine marketing campaigns across multimedia channels to reach the company’s target audiences and grow and retain clients.
  • Drive use of marketing automation and CRM tools to increase scale and depth of demand gen programs.
  • Coordinate maximum presence of Agfa HealthCare messaging to our identified Markets through industry organizations, meetings/ trade shows, social media.
  • Gather, analyze and use historic data to improve program effectiveness and leverage resources. Create visibility of campaign metrics and forecasts.
  • Coordinate internal/external marketing communications as needed by team.
  • Travel is required for this position (1-2 times per month average). This includes supporting management of demand generation/marketing automation, trade shows and media presence.


Knowledge & Skills:


  • Proven well-rounded MarCom experience driving multimedia B2B demand generation program. 
  • Proven success in managing integrated marketing campaigns including messaging content, exhibitions, and social media. Hands on Marketing Automation experience a must.
  • Excellent skills in project management, business judgement, attention to detail, personal drive to meet hard deadlines and ability to prioritize activities.
  • Curiosity and understanding of target markets and buying motivation of complex purchases.


Management and People skills:


  • A people-person with strong organization, time management, inter-personal and communications skills (oral/written) to interact effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients, and at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen; be comfortable with (and enjoy!) day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategic planning.
  • Team player and engaged individual contributor who is service minded within the greater organization.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously and manage time-sensitive priorities and changing needs to meet deadlines successfully.


Education & Experience:


  • BS/ BA degree in Marketing, Communications or English or other related field and demonstrated abilities in communications.
  • At least seven years of related demand generation marketing coordination/project management experience with five years of hands-on experience in B2B demand generation.


Other Requirements & Working Conditions:


  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools: ActOn or similar marketing automation, Sugar or other CRM required. MailChimp or others, layout and web development.  Adobe PhotoShop® /Creative Suite, In Design ® software abilities a plus.
  • Execution experience with Social Media campaigns.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.  English grammar and writing abilities.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong organization, scheduling, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously and manage time-sensitive priorities.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation in work habits to self-manage day-to-day work.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating digital impact and budget data, attention to detail is essential.
  • Healthcare or IT industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with outside agencies and managing vendor relationships a plus.
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind (Google analytics and others) with eye for creativity.
