Lead Designer mechanics

As a Lead Designer Mechanics, you will join a dedicated development team responsible for designing concepts, conducting feasibility tests, and contributing to the realization of the next generation of inkjet printers. Responsibilities:

• Develop and evaluate the basic concepts of new projects, translating them into concrete designs within predetermined timeframes and budgets.
• Ensure that designs align with Agfa Gevaert's standards, including DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFS (Design for Sustainability), safety, and environmental considerations.
• Provide technical and conceptual support to the team.
• Take ultimate responsibility for the quality of designs, overseeing overall design integrity, problem identification, and proposing solutions.
• Represent the team in various project meetings and product groups.

Desired Profile:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Passion for mechanical design and a strong commitment to balancing quality with time and cost constraints.
• Willingness to learn Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Strong analytical skills, capable of analyzing complex processes and contextualizing problems.
• Excellent team player with experience in multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Outstanding communication skills, fluent in both Dutch and English.
