Sales Phase/Bid Responsibilities:

Supports the Key Account Manager and Bid Co-ordinator during the proposal and negotiating phase

In bid creation, responsible for the following:

Establishes project implementation plan including milestones, resource requirements

Supports the Bid Co-ordinator in overall risk assessment and establishing a risk management plan

Reviews scope definition before offer delivered to customer

Validates/signs off on the Statement of Work including scope definition, project and milestone planning, assignment of resources and risk analysis and mitigation and project cost

Delivers clear description of type of resources needed (professional and/or technical services) based on competence area and time required for the bid

Resource Management:

Insures inclusion of required level of professional services for project implementation

At project implementation stage, monitors and escalates lack of availability to core Bid Team of critical professional and technical resources for a project due to previous assignment or lack of competence/expertise


Project Implementation:

Accountable for managing the project implementation insuring that the project is completed on-time and within project budget fully satisfying the agreed-upon requirements as detailed in the signed off proposal

Leads the project team throughout the project implementation until final acceptance and hand-over to the customer

Tracks and reports on progress of the project throughout the complete project lifecycle to insure project is executed in compliance with milestones and billing plan as defined in the contract

Responsible for insuring compliance to acceptance testing procedures

Responsible for insuring sign off by customer on pre-established milestones



















Communication skills:

Able to communicate effectively with Agfa counterparts; including Key Account Managers, Bid-Co-ordinators, Pre-Sales Consultants and technical resources assigned to the project

Able to effectively communicate with various levels at the customer site, including hospital executives, radiologists, doctors and IT resources

Communication skills include:

Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different individuals based on level, role and personality

Ability to manage communications in adverse situations

Able to translate customer demands into a clear and realistic project plan

 Uses structured project management methodology ( PMI, Prince2, etc) to define,  control, track  the project and assess project risk

Ability to keep complex project on time and on budget and within scope

Keeps people informed of progress on key tasks

Identifies when team members needs support and provides it

Insures team members understand their individual and collective responsibilities

Leadership/Influencing Skills:

Ability to manage and influence individuals whom they do not directly supervise to insure project objectives are completed

Relationship management:

 Manages customer expectations during the implementation phase of the project

Analytical Thinking/Judgment:

Ability to analyse problems during implementation and determine best course of action to insure project success

Breaks down problems into smaller pieces and is able to analyse relationship among several parts of a problem or situation with potentially multiple causal links

Defines alternate courses of action and troubleshoots solutions

Anticipates obstacles and thinks ahead about next steps.

 Technical Knowledge:

General technical knowledge of hospital IT workflow

General understanding of how systems/products link together and how pieces of the project are linked

Able to see big picture from general technical standpoint

Commercial Skills:

Ability to recognize when additional sales opportunities exist and pass on leads to Key Account Manager








(Education & experience necessary for this position)




Formal Project Management certification






Work Experience:

Previous experience in managing large, complex “process-driven” projects which require getting project done through the customer
