Agfa Healthcare is currently hiring Scrum Master(s) to join it’s Waterloo, Ontario team. Our Scrum Masters help drive Agile & Scrum practises within our Scrum teams through the full development cycle of our flagship Enterprise Imaging software solutions.  Our Scrum Masters foster our core values including innovation, knowledge transfer & continuous improvement with daily face to face interactions between developers, testers & clinical/technical product owners.  Together, they strive to make a meaningful difference in the global healthcare arena.   This is an exciting & challenging opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a focused servant leader as we renew our commitment to Agile practises.

 

Responsibilities

As a Scrum Master, your main responsibilities are;

  • Act as facilitator & coach for the team’s practices & learnings of Agile & Scrum
  • Plan and facilitate scrum planning, standups, demo & retrospective sessions
  • Track & help the team resolve conflicts, analyze and remove impediments to achieving committed deliverables & goals
  • Promote self management, be passionate about continuous learning & develop a safe environment for the team to fail fast
  • Act as an information radiator for the team & help provide necessary transparency to stakeholders
     

Qualifications

  • A College/University degree in computer science, information technology or a related diploma
  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience in the software industry
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Improvement & Group Collaboration
  • Attention to detail & ability to quickly absorb new concepts & technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication & knowledge transfer skills
  • Strong estimation & forecasting skills
  • The ability to build ‘trust’ as a founding principle in team dynamics
  • Scrum Master certification, experience with JIRA and Confluence are an asset
  • Passion for improving both the efficacy and efficiency of healthcare in Canada & abroad is an asset
