Your role

As a Buyer Indirect Services, with focus in domains such as waste management, company cars, Facility management, PPE’s, you are responsible to manage your spend. You develop a purchasing strategy and group contracts for your categories. Together with your internal stakeholders, you will build a project planning to realize creative improvements such as optimization of specifications, value creation, process and flow improvements, innovation, …

 

Your Key Responsibilities
 

  • Develop and implement a purchasing strategy for your categories (waste management, company cars, facility management, PPE’s).
  • Manage the entire bid and contracting process, apply strategic sourcing process to negotiate, write and implement contracts
  • Build a strong relationship with the internal stakeholders to understand requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Systematically assess the supplier performance with the aim to maximize the transactional cost reduction and to optimize the number of suppliers. Build good supplier relationships with your key suppliers
  • perform market analyzes to identify and select suppliers and to develop and execute a long term sourcing strategy.
  • actively contributing to continuously purchasing processes improvement. (Risk management, pricing volatility, working capital, inventory, payment terms…) on a project management based approach. (scoping, risk management, time-management).
  • Report to Head of Global Indirect Material Category Management

 

As a Group Buyer Indirect Spend you …

 

  • Hold a technical Master degree (eg industrial engineering, business engineer,..), and you have an affiliation with chemistry.
  • Are a passionate ambitious starter or a technical young professional with a few years experience,  who looks for a career that goes further than a typical engineering job
  • Have skilled yourself in project management and are a creative thinker
  • Have well-developed analytical, conceptual and  organizational skills
  • Have a continuous learning attitude & can-do mentality
  • Are  pragmatic, problem-solving and take initiative.
  • Enthusiasm and ambition characterize you
  • You have excellent interpersonal, communicative and negotiating skills.
  • Are fluent in Dutch and English, any other language is an asset
  • Are willing to travel 10% of your time
