R&D Lab Technician

As a lab technician you develop new membranes for future oriented projects with respect to the European Green Deal roadmap. 

• You work in a multidisciplinary team where you develop new membranes based on the technology platform available within Agfa.
• You screen new chemical components in formulations, report and interpret the results of the trials in order to work out the research plan together with the project leader.
• You improve where possible existing technology and adjust the current chemistry with special regard to efficiency and performance of the current membranes.
• You establish and maintain the essential contacts with the R&D labs, engineering, manufacturing, application, innovation.
• Knowledge of electrochemistry or the willingness to develop is a plus.
• You are able to assemble simple devices for the lab environment to test and process membranes.

Profile

• You have a bachelor's degree in chemistry or material science (or similar through experience).
• You have knowledge of chemical interactions of materials and you are familiar with physico-chemical material properties.
• You have good troubleshooting capabilities and think analytically.
• You work accurately in a structured way, with attention to safety and quality
• You are a team player proactively collaborating with other members of the project team to realize the project targets.
• You plan and perform experimental tests without supervisor guidance. Reporting of research results in form of presentations or written project reports.
• You are customer oriented with regard to internal and external customers.
• Your Dutch and English is fluent.
• You have the ability to work Independently.
