The Applications Specialist has primary responsibility for understanding and delivering end user applications training for all Imaging Products to include the clinical application training of CR/DR, CR Mammo, Clinical Applications solutions and 3rd party solutions. The Applications Specialist will travel to customer sites to deliver product training to the Site Administrator, Technologists, Clinicians, Radiologists and Support personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Application Role: Deploying the products, basic configurations and training to customers.
- Internal Training: Assisting with internal classroom, Virtual Learning Room (VLR) or Web-Based training (WBT) to provide the necessary product training for the group. Will eventually be assigned as a Mentor for training new hires as well as cross training with all Agfa products.
- Education: Attend Internal Agfa training sessions, WebEx, ELearning and/or external training sessions and OJT to keep abreast of new technology and teaching methodologies as recommended by Manager.
- Customer Point of Contact: Collect product issues from the field and distribute solutions to the group. Escalating issues from the field to the appropriate area. Tracking escalations and their resolutions.
- Field Support: Provide on-site application support for new product controlled delivery sites, field tests or installations. This could also include phone or email support for application related issues.
- Administrative functions: on time completion of expense reports, trip reports and associated documentation, web cats timesheets, etc.
Education:
- Radiologic Technologist with BS degree preferred or work experience equivalent with emphasis on one of the following:
- Radiological Imaging Systems
Experience:
- Minimum three years of training experience working with CR/DR and x-ray equipment. Agfa experience a plus.
- Experience as a technical/applications trainer
- Experience with Radiology department workflow
Specific skills:
- Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 protocols and interactions
- Thorough understanding of radiology clinical applications
- Strong ability to develop and deliver end-user training presentations in the classroom, virtual and web-based training methodologies
- Excellent organizational skills & self-discipline to work with limited supervision
- Strong team building skills
- Excellent training and presentation skills
