Agfa HealthCare is looking for a talented Education Specialist to join its team in Waterloo, ON

 

Responsibilities:

As an Education Specialist within Imaging IT Solutions (IITS), you will engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct instructional design, development, administration and manage product/solution training collateral for defined training profiles.

 

To achieve these responsibilities, you will be required to conduct one or more of the following tasks in parallel:

 

Key Tasks:

  • Conduct preliminary training needs analysis to plan and prioritize training collateral releases
  • Interact with project stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to define and storyboard self-paced and/or instructor-led learner blocks.
  • Build discrete learner paths composed of 1 or more learner blocks inclusive of an exam component.
  • Publish discrete learner paths to 1 or more defined profiles.
  • Administrate Learning Management System (LMS) to publish or decommission training curriculum and facilitate reporting.
  • Monitor the intake of general inquiries.

 

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate should possess many of the soft & hard skills listed: 

 

Soft Skills:

  • Possess a basic understanding of project management principles and the ability to self manage your own tasks/deliverables against business priorities.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholders in a global organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct both high-level and detailed analysis to breakdown concepts into discrete components.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented administrative tasks, analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, plan, taking into consideration factors such as learning outcomes, interactive learning and standards.
  • Certification or Diploma in Adult Learning and/or E-learning or relevant work experience.

 

Hard Skills:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Experience working with web-based training development software, such as Storyline, Confluence, Experiential Learning Solutions.
  • Experience working in communities of practice or with social media technologies.
  • Experience using multimedia technologies.
  • Experience utilizing a Learning Management System.
