This Director level position is responsible for providing leadership and direction both tactical and strategic to support winning sales strategies by conveying the features, benefits and value proposition of Agfa HealthCare’s full portfolio of IT and Imaging products to secure new customers.  Further to provide advisory services and market feedback to the company’s leadership and key stakeholders to drive long term and sustainable market share growth in North America. The position reports directly to the Region Vice President East of New Business Sales.

 

This position can be based out of the following location(s) and surrounding metropolitan areas:

Eastern Pennsylvania through NY and NJ and North to Maine

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Achieving an annual Order Intake and Sales plan for IT and Imaging portfolio products

  • Collaborating with the field sales support team to sell solutions through on site meetings, presentations and virtual meetings
  • Developing consultative sales relationships with key buying influences within the customer's organization including key management and executive management, CFO, CIO, CEO, CMIO etc.
  • Reviewing and continually enhancing the quality and effectiveness of our sales presentations in alignment with our messaging and to support a strategic sales process
  • Providing input and creating high quality presentation content and messaging tailored to the customer scenario and conveying the solutions value proposition
  • Assisting in the development and improvement of sales tools, proposals and collateral including but not limited to pricing, pre-site surveys, ROI analysis tools and presentation materials
  • Adhering to and promoting a strategic selling process where by your contributions assist in defining and refining a consistent and repeatable formula for winning new business
  • Serve as a business advisor to the company on its product roadmap, vision and business development plans  
  • Translating client needs to develop a solution strategy in conjunction with relevant market and competitive analysis
  • Plan and organize your time effectively, taking a disciplined approach to setting and achieving goals and objectives.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the industry trends and competition and sharing that information internally with leadership and key stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience in medical imaging and/or healthcare information technology along with operational and/or implementation experience in hospitals   
  • Experience with the planning, developing businesses cases and administration of complex software applications, computer systems and networks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with diverse stakeholders, including selling top management on IT system capital projects and working with all other hospital clinical functions in the decision making process
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and proactive business style.
  • Proficiency in Strategic Selling concepts and/or comparable sales process and tools
  • Competitive imaging or software product experience/knowledge  
  • Self-starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers at all levels
  • Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration
  • Solid process orientation and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and direct technical sales experience selling enterprise IT solutions and/or medical imaging to hospitals, academic medical centers and large health systems
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a complex selling environment, where multiple people and/or committees involved in the purchasing decision
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of time and to customer sites, sales meetings and tradeshows or as required by business conditions
  • Willingness to submit to and pass a drug test and educational, employment and criminal background checks
