Agfa Healthcare is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join its team in Santiago

 

This role is responsible for performing professional accounting work, involving controlling, reporting, consolidation, analysis of financial data, ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset and inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, Tax account reconciliations.

 

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance of reporting and procedural standards. (IFRS and Local GAAP)
  • Knowledgeable on Chart of Accounts, and assigning entries to proper accounts.
  • Assure the correct bookkeeping, making use of current computer technology.
  • Adhere to global accounting policies, processes and procedures defined by the company.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, and/or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Support to internal and external auditing
  • Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the property's description, value, and location.
  • Assures adequate documentation/support of transactions and reports.
  • Participates in determining the proper accounting treatment of complex or unusual transactions.
  • Performs cost accounting analysis.
  • Fixed asset creation
  • Control, obtaining and renewal of federal, state and municipal certificates
  • Calculate indirect taxes and delivery of all tax obligations
  • Assure that all SAP tax information is updated and parameterized
  • Conduct timely and high quality monthly, quarterly and year end closing activities.
  • Submit monthly and quarterly the Accounting Reporting information into Tagetik tool

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Degree in accounting
  • SAP experience, ability to prepare and/or extract from the ERP
  • Experience in standard FI transactions
  • Experience within an accounting / auditing environment at least 5 years
  • Experience within local tax legislation
