Sales Manager

This position provides day-to-day Sales delivery to Agfa customers and prospect customers and acts as single point of contact to customers for Agfa products & services and is responsible for identifying opportunities, creating an account strategy, coordinating and controlling the sales process, managing customer expectations and negotiating contracts

 

The Sales Manager also supports with developing a winning local Sales strategy to secure new customers, by conveying the features, benefits and value proposition of Agfa HealthCare’s full portfolio of IT products

 This position reports into the Sales Director Europe South (Italy & Iberia), and can be based out of Barcelona or Madrid. (Madrid is preferred)

 

Supports with developing a winning local Sales strategy to secure new customers, by conveying the features, benefits and value proposition of Agfa HealthCare’s full portfolio of IT products

 

Create and execute account strategy, in order to protect the current installed customer base

Ensures customer satisfaction as well as customer credibility and confidence in Agfa by developing strategies and tactics in support of critical account management activities at assigned accounts to include broad communication, documentation, setting customer expectations, support team leadership, relationship management, and technology refresh,

 

Creates and manages a profitable annual Order Intake and Sales plan for Enterprise Imaging portfolio products and Increases the win rate versus competition by:

  • by preparing and executing strategic account plans and a business plan
  • Adhering to and promoting a strategic selling process where by your contributions assist in defining and refining a consistent and repeatable formula for winning new business
  • Developing and expanding consultative sales relationships with key buying influences within the customer's organization including key management and executive management, CFO, CIO, CEO, CMIO etc.
  • Improving the accuracy of detailed forecasts and funnel reports;
  • Improving effectiveness of high level selling at assigned accounts
  • Perform Customer Relationship Management, sets clear customer expectations and manages clear communications both internally and with the customer to ensure seamless implementation. sponsor customer escalation processes and issue problems
  • Manage bid process

 

Serve as a business advisor to the company on its product roadmap, vision and business development plans 

Translating client needs to develop a solution strategy in conjunction with relevant market and competitive analysis

Providing customer and market intelligence to the Agfa marketing and product development teams to develop and strengthen the product portfolio;

 

Actively maintaining knowledge of the industry trends and competition and sharing that information internally with leadership and key stakeholders

Taking responsibility for personal development in selling skills and technical proficiency of clinical application and multiplying these throughout the Informatics business

 

Manages expenses to budget and operates at a standard of excellence in regards to teamwork, safety, ethics, diversity, Agfa’s Quality System, business processes and the HealthCare Code of Conduct.

Willingness to travel up to 70 % of time and to customer sites, sales meetings and tradeshows or as required by business conditions

 

Desired Skills and Experience

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field.

 

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of of direct technical sales experience in a complex selling environment, where multiple people and/or committees are involved in the purchasing decision.

Experience in selling HealthCare IT solutions and/or medical imaging to hospitals, academic medical centers and large health systems is a must!

 

 Specific skills:

  • Experience with the planning, developing businesses cases and administration of complex software applications, computer systems and networks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with diverse stakeholders, including selling top management on IT system capital projects and working with all other hospital clinical functions in the decision making process
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and proactive business style
  • Proficiency in Strategic Selling concepts and/or comparable sales process and tools (knowledge of the Miller Heiman methology or blue sheet approach is a plus)
  • Competitive imaging or software product experience/knowledge  
  • Self-starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers at all levels
  • Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration
  • Solid process orientation and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Plan and organize your time effectively, taking a disciplined approach to setting and achieving goals and objectives
