IT Operations Engineer (AMF)

Agfa HealthCare in Bonn (Germany) is looking for an IT Operations Engineer for our Agfa Monitoring Framework (AMF).  


The IT Operations Engineer is co-responsible for the operation of the central datacenter-based platform of the global Agfa Monitoring Framework (backend systems and on prem installations), including the maintenance of the AMF configuration worldwide.

The IT Operations Engineer (AMF) will:

  • closely cooperate with the AMF developers/solution architects to define and implement central server configurations, network outlines, software distribution tools, interfaces etc to guarantee and enhance availability, capacity and security of the AMF platform.
  • roll out updates, deploy changes and continuously maintain the AMF platform in cooperation with the AMF development/architecture, GRIP and ICS.
  • define and measures procedures in the context of Change Management, Access Management, Security Management and Capacity Management (as defined in ITIL). The OE is the first escalation instance for availability issues.

 

 

As an IT Operations Engineer (AMF) you are responsible for:

 

  • The availability, capacity, and IT security of the AMF platform
  • Global rollout of AMF upgrades
  • Maintenance of the AMF configuration worldwide
  • Cooperate with AMF Solution Architects and our hosting partner to implement IT operations management controls
  • Definition of procedures, measurement of KPIs for IT Operations
  • Creation of operational documentation for teams using AMF
  • Working according to the relevant global Agfa Healthcare processes

 

What you bring to the table

 

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, vocational training in system integration (FI-SI) or equivalent working experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in an IT technology related position, for example as system administrator is an asset but this position is also open for young graduates
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows and UNIX systems (configuration and administration)
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management Systems is a plus (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, Puppet …)
  • Knowledge of Monitoring Systems is a plus (Check_MK, Nagios …)
  • Willingness to work in a distributed multi-national team
  • Fluent communication skills in English (verbal and written), German is a benefit  
  • A positive and strong team player, proactive, self-starter, assertiveness and with the ability to work under pressure
